Israel made this a bizarrely internet-publicised war, which I can’t say garnered any favours with me, but it looks like it’s pissed Anonymous off too. The hacking collective has gone on the offensive, kicking down sites and spray-painting walls, in the only way hackers know how. Looks like Anonymous has your back, Palestine.

It’s all very well, defacing sites and DDoSing services, but when people are getting killed out there, somehow hacking like this seems a bit, well, weak. But it certainly adds to what’s undoubtedly one of the most bizarre wars in modern times. [Anonymous via Forbes]

Anonymous are supporting terrorists now then? If you look carefully I think you’ll find Israel is just defending itself, maybe unjustly but it’s still just retaliating. Oh why did you go there Sam?
Defending themselves from what? A situation they created by closing off Gaza, taking land that was not theirs and continuing to kill kids? Israel are the terrorists…
Its simply a mess a Jewish state should never have been created there and Israels allies shouldn’t be turning a blind eye to these things.
When you think about the attrocities that have been commited against Jews it doesn’t surprise me one bit one heavy handed Israel is as a state complete and what scares me the most is that they are not ashamed of some of these actions.
I feel for the people of Israel in a lot of ways but can’t justify their actions
I think that all the Palestinians ought to be settled in California, where within 60 years they will hopefully have expanded into the Nevada and Arizona. By that stage the Californians, et al will be guerilla fighting for their land but hopefully the rest of the world will label them terrorists and condemn the only tactics available to them.
Problem with that is that the Californians weren’t the first people there. If you remember they kicked off the native Americans off that land in the first place.

It’s not about publicity, it’s about transparency. You should be applauding the IDF for their use of the Internet and social media instead of calling it “bizarre.” What other military on the planet would go the lengths Israel has to demonstrate compliance with international law and substantiate every action they take, no matter how small?
Terrorists? I think the people in the Gaza strip would beg to differ. Like the saying goes: one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter. This is very much a chicken and egg situation: Israel/Hamas attack, Hamas/Israel retaliate. Both are right and both are wrong.
Whilst I agree with you 12,000 rockets in 10 years is obscene but don’t forget that the Israeli state was founded on terrorism while the british were in administration trying to keep the two sides apart a right wing Jewish terrorist group called the Irgun blew up the King David Hotel killing 91 people of mixed nationality in 1946, they used Terrorism to force the Formation of Israel These Murders are fated as heroes by most of the right wing nutters in Israel.
It’s the IDf’s twitter that needs taken offline, it’s absolutely shocking how they’re coming across. Sounds like a bunch of 15 year olds trolling on the kids from a different class in school. It’s obscene, how any Gov can say Israel has a “right to defends itself” when they’re pretty much gloating about killing people (including kids) is wholly wrong and disgusting on their part. Israel is out of order on this; they always have been. Happy to take the land, seal people in the land they ‘award them’ and then complain when they’re under attack. Don’t create a massive concentration camp, steal land and crush a nation and you’ll learn to live in a safe environment.
So, is this going to be like when they were “going to take down facebook” IE absolutely nothing will happen?

It’s simple in my opinion and although yes, they have control of Gaza and the like, look at where Israel is geographically and look at the surrounding countries.
There is a constant threat of war and even the Israeli people are brought up knowing that.
I’m not defending their action so to speak, anyone who attacks anyone is doing wrong morally, but I’m pretty sure if the UK were in Israels shoes we’d do the same thing.

There’s quite a lot of sympathy for Israel in these comments but I don’t see any reason why anyone should take Israel’s side.
I understand Gaza/Hamas are imbeciles hiding shamelessly behind civilians and furthering their motives and propaganda, but this is to be expected from the obvious high testosterone levels in the facist intolerent low IQ arab world. What is apparent here is that Israelis are the same breed as well. Neanderthals.
