If you like to hold your iPad right up by next to your eyeballs because you are basically blind, you might someday have some relief. Apple has a new patent that changes the size of the display based on the distance of your face from the screen.
The resizing tech could work in two opposite ways: When you get closer, the device will sense your face and the font will get smaller, and larger as you move away. This is called comfort mode. Conversely, in zoom mode, the font would grow as you moved toward the screen. Let’s hope this would just augment-and not replace-manual pinch and zoom. That’s one feature that’s just too fun to do without or something? [USPTO via CNET]

3 BLOODY WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spitting mad, Google customer services no help!!!!!!!!!!
Say what you will about the iPhone, but the customer service provided by Apple is miles ahead.
Am shocked to be honest, it’s almost enough to make me go to Apple.
It’s one of the reasons I got my iPhone. Also, it looked so pretty… But seriously, just read this – http://www.cultofmac.com/125021/a-touching-story-about-how-apple-earned-a-new-customer-for-life/
That’s how a company should operate.
What Google have done as far as I’m concerned breaches their “Do No Evil” policy. I know it’s not a real problem but boy am I mad!
I get it. If the same happened to me, I’d be pretty pissed off.
They’ve gone out of their way twice for me now. Both times cost them money. I’ve never been to another tech store at 10am to find seminars taking place, involving old as well as young people and I’ve never been approached so many times offering helpful, friendly advice. It’s one of the reasons why I’m tolerating iOS actually. I know it’s getting stale, but if you consider everything, the entire package, from customer service, the convenience of having a brick and mortar store to go to, the compatibility with my macbook and the simplicity of apps, I think I’m going to sit it out another year and stick with them. I’m considering a Nexus 4 as a payg second phone, but I’m not going to change ecosystems. I like the GS3 and Note2, but my experience in a couple of those Samsung pop up stores didn’t even come close to Apple’s effort.
I got mine today and there was a free bag of jellied sweets in the box.
If you’re diabetic you could say they were trying to put you in a coma so you wouldn’t have to use their shiny new phone.
HAHAHAHA
well i got my nexus 10 today so screw you ipad, this thing is fantastic
‘Coming soon to an Android phone near you…’ no doubt…LOL
