If tablets had one Achilles heel preventing them from personal computing dominance, it would be their awkward touchscreen keyboards. But the makers of the ASETNIOP keyboard think they’ve found a better alternative. An on-screen keyboard with just ten keys that lets you access every letter of the alphabet with multiple keypresses, like playing chords on a piano.
The demos make it look easy to use, but the system seems pretty convoluted and getting the hang of it will most likely require a lot of practice. But what do you think? Does the ASETNIOP have even a remote chance of replacing the classic QWERTY layout? Will anything ever? [ASETNIOP via Dvice]

TypeWay iPad Keyboard Adapts To Fit Your Hands Perfectly
The list of things you could use it for… Surely that list could have been summarised with ‘It’s a keyboard.’
This was my favorite part! so funny it’s almost a parody of itself. you can type here, you can type in this, you can type in that box!!!
OH MY GOD, A TEXT BOX??????
I KNOW I DIDN’T KNOW YOU COULD PUT TEXT IN A TEXT BOX BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Besides, who develops a proprietary keyboard for an iPad…
Like anything you can learn, but to replace qwerty will be a challenge.
OMG… this gets rid of the keyboard in the way problem…. now all we need to do is cut our hands off and we will be able to see the whole screen..
not for me I am afraid..
TOTALLY this!
i think over familiarity with the qwerty layout is less the issue rather than one of tactile feedback, which a touchscreen can never compensate for (at least not yet, i know its being worked on)
the learning curve on this will put all but the dedicated off, i got a stress head just watching it, i would lob the tablet at the wall, patience is not one of my virtues
I could care less about the keyboard, but can someone please tell me where to get that FANTASTIC looking iPad OS?
