Version 5.0 of the awesome Evernote app has gone live on iTunes for its iOS users, featuring a completely new user interface that tears up everything that went before.

The primary idea behind this new version is to make it easier to access your existing notes and any shared content, with the developer splitting the home screen in two; one part for adding new notes and stuff and a rather fancy folder style view for categorising all older material. The iPad version takes advantage of the bigger display to pack even more in, featuring a new scrolling Recent Notes tab along the top.

You really need to see it moving to appreciate what Evernote's done here, as the expanding and collapsing folders with their grid-based contents and zooming views are very impressive indeed. [iTunes via Evernote]
