The UK economy is about to get a little boost, as the administrators of retail chain Comet prepare to launch a massive sale to dump all of its stock. It's sad, and people will lose their jobs, but on the plus side we might be able to get a cheap washing machine and a spare fridge out of it.
The Comet web site, which was taken offline last week when news emerged that the chain was about to enter administration, currently features a whopping great orange banner announcing the forthcoming super sale. There's a lengthy FAQ up as well, informing shoppers that gift cards are not currently being accepted and what they should do if expecting a delivery that's already been paid for. [Comet via Cnet]
