Google Maps has featured internal floor plans in its mobile app for a while, but now they’re available on your desktop, too
In total there are over 10,000 floor plans, available in Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, the UK, and the US. There’s a full listing of exactly which plans exist over at Google, and the number looks set to grow.
While internal floor plans are clearly more useful on your phone than a computer, it’s a nice little addition. Or time waster, as I just found. [Google]

Nice. I like floor plans. I don’t know why, I have a thing. I don’t whack off to them or anything, I just like them.
Blueprints on the other hand…..
Avatar Maps must fall somewhere in the middle?
Handy for planning my next heist.
Just be careful of Easter eggs/errors…

I could really do with this for my office! Over one million square foot IIRC.
Awesome, this will make working on designs for me a bit easier.
There are only 2 reasons you would ever want to use this feature.
1) It’s new and you want to try it out.
2) Crime.
3) You are going to a large publically accesible building (such as a music or sporting venue) and have never been before.
4) You are the Queen and are lost in your palace
5) If streetview is integrated, you could tour a museum from your bedroom
6) ‘Visiting’ every building mapped by Google with no trousers on
7) Even more heinous crime
