Griffin has just announced the first third-party Lightning cables to become available on the market, giving you an alternative to official Apple products when it comes to charging and syncing your new iOS device.
And there seems to be a cable for almost every occasion. Short, long, coiled, straight—take your pick. Here’s a run down:
- 2-foot straight (£13)
- 3-foot straight (£15)
- 4-foot coiled (£20)
- 10-foot straight (£25)
Oddly, Apple sells a 3.5-foot cable for £15, so you won’t really make a saving by going with Griffin. But if you want something shorter, longer or more curly, you know what to do. [Griffin via Verge]

How about a lightning extension cable – even just another 30cm-50cm would do (to keep the signal strength)… been looking for one since iphone 5 release… obviously no one else in the world needs one otherwise they would have realised there’s a market for them.
Just get a standard USB male to female extender…
He uses an iPhone, you think he could have figured that out on his own?

This is what I use, but it’s touch n go.

Or somehow messing with the lightning authentication ?
Who knows, it was from the £1 shop after all lol
