1. This would happen on ANY e-mail service, Why is such a big thing being made of it being GMail?
2. “our country’s spy-in-chief” – errrr, no. Looks like a transposition error there.
3. “Google could probably ruin us all for even less.” – oh yes, lets all give in to the “Google knows everything about us” bullshit. The only reason people know how much Info Google collects on you is that they tell you upfront. Your bank, your credit card company, your local supermarket, your isp and your government amongst others regularly collect a shittonne of data about you for their own purposes. Such information has value and at least Google gives you plenty of toys in return.
