According to the folks populating the WPCentral forums, Nokia’s new flagship Lumia 920 is having some pretty serious battery issues.
There’s been a glut of users reporting in that their 920 is draining its entire charge in just a few hours. Others, though, are reporting no difference from the very good battery life we and other sites saw during review. Some comments, though, seem to indicate the issues will clear up if you condition the battery with full discharges and charges. Anecdotally, I’ve been using Gizmodo’s 920 for a few days, and battery life has been just fine. But if your phone is overheating and burning out in a few hours, you’re probably pretty upset.
So are we just lucky? Is anyone who bought a Lumia 920 experiencing this? Let us know in the discussion. [WPCentral]

Reminds me of the nokia 8800
Did you mean the Lumia 800? If not then that had a similar issue.
Sorry, I meant the nokia 8800 this one:

it had such an atrocious battery life !
That’s surprising for a Nokia, usually they lasted a week.
Nope – no problems. 10 hours of light use gets me down to 50%.
No issues with mine that i’ve had since the 5th, in fact it’s still getting better with every charge and getting great battery life out of it. I am on 3G, not 4G though.
I’ve an HTC 8X and am having problems. Yesterday, with only minor use, I was at 20% after 11 hours.
0/10 for relevance
Had this issue with mine. The first day, I started the day with 99% battery, and was at 32% by noon. Recharged to 100%, and put the phone in my pocket at 3pm. Was at 40% by 9pm.
However, the performance improved (a little bit) automatically on days 2 and 3. On day 4, I let the battery discharge completely before charging it. This helped dramatically. I’m currently going from 100% in the morning to about 15% when I go to bed (no mid-day charging), but its literally getting better every day.
Lithium-Polymer battery’s need to run a few cycles (around 30) before they get to max capacity then after 1000 cycles they will only hold 80% capacity.
If I finally get an iPhone 5 that works properly, I’m hoping to keep it long enough to witness this phenomenon; in the meantime the battery life is pants – mine’s dead by tea time and I’m not really a heavy user

What happened to the lumia being $100? How can us brit’s get in on this price?
