This is it, guys. Smartphones are now significantly bigger than your average penis. And it’s China’s fault. China and its monstrous 5.9-inch Windows Phone screen, which is baffling and probably warrants a nuclear strike from the US. This is happening.
The device, by cheap-o-possibly-spying-on-us phone manufacturer ZTE, sports a 1920×1080 resolution and “DTS audio technology” which means absolutely completely nothing because it’s a phone and not a theatre. But just look at it on that notebook. The notebook is about to break. It’s bigger than the pen. Look at that stupid pen. Why bother building the F-35 now? China has this. It’s done, guys. We’re done.
I’ve been wanting good, small phones for a while now, so I guess I’ll just buy a Galaxy Note, because that’s a small phone now. Phones are becoming horrible. Blame China. Blame ourselves. This is the end. [WMPowerUser via Redmond Pie]
This is just ridiculous. Personally, I think that the best size is 4.3″, any larger than that, and it becomes a pain to use.

You’re talking about your requirements, not your opinion. There’s no right or wrong size. I got a Samsung Galaxy Note and have no issues with using it. Other people got phones with under 4 inch screens and they are happy witht them as they are fine for their purpose. 4.3″ is fine for what you need it for.
I think people like yourself need to specify requirements for what they need, not form opinions what is suitable for everyone else, coz guess what, we’re not all the same, and we don’t all do the same things.
I’m pretty sure that the “I think” part makes it an opinion. If I were to say “I need” instead of “I think”, then it would become a requirement. I’m currently using an iPhone 4S, and absolutely love it, I just wish that the screen were 4.3″ instead.
It’s a shame that there appears to be a correlation between the size of screen and the premium-ness of the phone. I’d like to see a top spec phone around the 4″ to 4.3″ screen size. The size of the SGS2 is perfect, if they can reduce the bezel while keeping a phone the same size as the SGS2 then I think it could stretch to a 4.5″ device.
I have a Galaxy S3 and must admit the screen is a “little” too big and can often cause strain on fingers trying to reach with one hand to operate the phone.
This is ridiculous though.

“China’s stupid giant 6-inch phone” – the appropriate response to this would be “you’re stupid”, coz that’s how kids talk and that’s what your title sounded like.
People should stop talking about their own requirements as something that should apply to all. I used phones from 1″ to 5.3″ screens and each has it’s purpose. To talk about an ideal phone requirement is about as stupid as the attitude of this article.
