After users reported that their Windows Phone 8 handsets were randomly rebooting, Microsoft claims to have found the cause of the problem — and is planning to roll out an over-the-air update in December.
All Things D reports that Microsoft has been working with its partners — presumably HTC and Nokia — and has discovered a cause of the bug that has seen phones randomly rebooting. It’s not clear how widespread the issues is, but Microsoft hopes to have it fixed with the OTA update some time in December. [All Things D]

Wow, nearly 30 minutes without a comment of ‘You can fix it easily, buy a Galaxy S3′ or ‘Buy an iPhone, fixed’. Shocking times!
I thought the same thing. But then I guess reading an article about WP8 is like having a 3rd armpit – unnecessary.
Well I would say ‘You can fix it easily, buy a Nexus 4′ but you can’t
You’re a cruel man, Mr Jones
I’d say it was my age, but to be honest I’ve always been like this.
Darrell, in regards to a Nexus 4, has it frozen yet? if so what do you do to restart it?
No freezing for me. been very well behaved.
If it freezes, hold down the power button to force a reboot.
mhatti, my S2 freezes randomly when browsing and i tried that hold down power method and nothing happens i have to yank the battery out which is annoying, hopefully the nexus wont freeze
On the S2, press and hold volume + home button and while holding them press the power button for 3 seconds.

thank you mhatti, you are a life saver!
Only had one random reboot on the Lumia 920 since the 5th of November, apart from that it’s been rock solid stable. Battery life has become pretty amazing on it too.
