Repurposing one of the myriad of writing implements on your desk as a stylus for a touchscreen device shows some clever MacGyver-like adaptability. But bringing an indelible permanent marker like a Sharpie anywhere near your tablet or smartphone’s screen is downright cringe-worthy—even if the business end is covered with one of these Stylus Caps.
Made from aircraft-grade aluminium with a firm rubber tip, the caps will easily outlast an entire office’s worth of markers. But even the tiniest risk of accidentally taking an un-capped Sharpie to a device’s screen has us a little anxious. So maybe it’s best to only re-purpose markers that’ve completely dried out first. Why Sharpie? Try Dagi, they give you the same accuracy, and sharpness, without actually contacting the screen with a sharp point. Difficult to explain, but they’re far better (and look safer) than this.
I think it’s just for people that like the look and feel of a Sharpie marker, a friend of mine would love one of them. Also the tablet stylus isn’t that sharp, it’s the rounded one on the end of the cap, the only danger would be from using the pen rather than the stylus as is said in the article.
