The Notion Ink Adam won last year’s award for most overhyped/underdelivered product in gadgetdom, so it’s exciting to see the company get back on the horse. What do we know about the follow-up tablet? Practically nothing. But who needs specs and faith in basic functionality when you’ve got blurry Twitter pixxx to go on?

The first one was such a dissapointment, if they had delivered on time with decent numbers everything would have worked out for them. But they missed the boat and thanks to all the cheap shuttle clones kicking around and the friendliness of tegra to custom roms it just never stood a chance.
Lack of money is probably why. It costs a fortune to create miniature consumer electronics and then tool up and mass produce at such a quantity you can price it right for the market and make a profit. Example? The iPad mini. It’s ultra thin design would have cost Apple a considerable sum of money to develop, from the low power processor, sourcing the display to all else. A startup would not have access to such resources and intellectual property – Notion need a partner!
