Nexus 4 update: Spoke to Google this morning and they said that their “Your order has been dispatched” emails will be sent out within 24 hours with actual delivery most likely to be on Monday or Tuesday!
I was actually expecting them to arrive today How hard is it to have a shipping label slapped on a box and handed to DHL, to be honest for £9.99 delivery charge on a product ordered before 10am on Tuesday they could have got it to me from Ireland (or wherever it comes from) yesterday or today at the latest, Ebay’ers and Amazon manage it ok and for Google to say they were overwhelmed shows a distinct lack of planning. Oh well…

Their website says DHL but I don’t care if the bloody tooth fairy brings it, I’m just pissed that they charge me £10 for delivery and then it’s probably going to take a week to arrive!

But hang on, £10 delivery?! That’s substantial. It should surely be a ‘next day’ service at that price.
£9.99 (before anyone gets pedantic) and yes, I agree it should be next day or at least 2 day but a week is just sad (like carrier pigeon sad).
Google emailed me this evening telling me my Nexus 4 will ship within 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Despite 2 phonecalls confirming my order would be dispatched yesterday or today!!!!!!

Ahh, you got one of those. Yes I read about that on AC. I myself have received 2 emails at wildly different times but both with shipping info.

The so called phenomenon of fanboyism, as it stands today, has been entirely orchestrated by blog sites and other groups interested in rousing passion among readers, thereby increasing the chances of them clicking on certain ‘loaded’ articles and driving web traffic.
It’s been a great exercise in manipulation, which has taken what was once mere rowdy, competitive cajoling into something quite bizarre.

Hasn’t anybody noticed that Apple lost the battle sometime ago? Nearly 3/4 of the world’s smartphones run Android – about 5 times more than Apple who come in somewhere down the ladder at 3rd or 4th place. Poor Apple! Having the least experience of any of the major players, but with an ego greater than all the others put together does not inspire confidence!
