When you’re on the hunt in a first-person shooter, the very tiniest fraction of a movement can mean the difference between nailing a shazam headshot and dying. That’s why the new 2013 version of the Razer DeathAdder gaming mouse has a 6400 dpi optical sensor, compared to the 3500 dpi infrared sensor on its predecessor. That’s, like, almost two-times better, right?
We can’t help but feel it’s not going to affect your epic Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 sessions all that much.
Razer makes some of the hottest gaming gear in the world, so we’re willing to bet that the DeathAdder 2013 is mind-numbingly badass. But will all of those extra dots per inch make a difference? Maybe, if you are a super intense gamer. But for almost everyone in the world, well, this is just a £65, ergonomic, customizable mouse with five programmable buttons—just like its £55 predecessor. You’re not wrong, of course it’s not going to affect your gaming really.
Still glad to see Razer churning the Deathadder out still though, I’ve still got my 1800DPI version and I can still hands down say it’s one of the best ergonomic mice ever in my opinion!
does this one loose functionality if you don’t have a internet connection too?
“cloud-based driver” I think it was.

Always on DRM for mice is fucking retarded. I’ll stick to my Rat 7 thanks.
Except it doesn’t have to be always on at all…

8200 dpi…
i like my rat 9 much more than this.it looks cheap and nasty to me…
I just wish the rat 9 had more battery life ): I hate swapping the battery out at least once a day. Although I use my pc a lot.
dont mention the freezing either …still its prettyness does make uo fr it..
Yes the freezing is also annoying, it doesn’t happen that often, but still is a little annoying to plug the wireless thing in and out when it does happen. My pc freezing is more annoying though which I can’t figure out why. I got a while to test ram configurations otherwise I give up
.
I use ultra-low sens in all my games (400dpi). People who spend money on this stuff are just getting conned into thinking it’ll make them better players.
DPI doesn’t have as much to do with precision as prediction and acceleration does. People need to stop thinking “MOAR DPI IZ GUD”.
That said, The last Deathadder had a good sensor where it mattered, so hopefully this does too.
And now, it’s worth the ridiculous asking price.
Sorta. Maybe.
i couldn’t handle red alert 2 on full speed. probably wasted the money i’ve just spent on the current deathadder
