What happens when you recut The Dark Knight Rises so it’s just a movie about Bane? Awesomeness, that’s what. This is Bane the Movie, a short film about a hero who fights for change against a bumbling rich man in a Halloween costume. Brilliant.

Still can’t stop watching TDKR to be honest. I found a blu-ray 1080 p rip on the interwebs and been using that to fill in the absence of the BR dvd. It’s a whole assembly of awesomeness wrapped into a 2 hr 45 minute film. Excellent in nearly every respect.
I thought the movie was over hyped, it was good not great imo.
Hyped due to the 2nd film being on such pedestal. But this was great I feel.
I really enjoyed the Batman movies, and dark night rises was good, but i think i expected Bane to be more of an extreme nemesis, following the joker was a hard act which i feel Bane could never live up to.
a few of the fights batman has with bane seemed a bit lacklustre too
and Bane never quite seemed to be bad enough, and he was just a muscled guy with a mask and a good story twist at the end (I really expected more for some reason)
that being said i did enjoy the film, and could happily watch it again and again.
I hope we have many more batman films to come now that we have robin (or maybe he is the next batman?) and maybe batgirl, there could be some nice twists.
the movie is left open, and i know that this was supposed to be the last of christopher nolans batman, i think we may see more

anyway I don’t know whether my expectations were to high after watching the Dark Knight which is quite odd because i tend to watch films based on their own merit rather as a comparison to previous films. but somehow i could not help but compare this to the Dark Knight.
For some odd reason Robin may be the next Batman.

I liked the movie, but still feel that Christian Bale was not the best choice to play Batman.
as soon as i heard his name, i though well here is the new robin, but the way the film ended i thought nope he is going to be batman.

the one i am reserved about is superman, i am wondering what they can do to that film to make it exciting
I have got high hopes for The Man of Steel.
They seem to be trying to ground his character like they did with Batman. And the have got Michael Shannon as Zod which should be good.
i hope they do as well, and i hope its quite dark too
Yeh it’s weird they had this big build up to the final show down and it was like 2 mins and Bane was swept aside for a twist with a woman that Batman apparently had feelings for after 5 mins. It also felt like Inception 2 with how many of the cast were in the movie.
It seems like Nolan has his ideal cast. At least he isn’t quite as bad as Tim Burton yet.
