Rrrrrrrrroll, the site dedicated to the art of spinning GIF or whatever that is, continues to be one of the best parts of the internet. The author has recently aded a bunch more, so make sure to check them out.
Here are some of my favourites, but you can add your own in the comments (from Rrrrrrroll or anyone else):

Maybe in 2013 the internet won’t be barmy over gifs. I look forward to reading reviews and articles that don’t make my Macbook Air want to cry and welcome a time where nearly every tumblr site no longer wants to give me a headache.
I am sorry. Are you saying that your MBA lags on gifs?
He must be using safari, safari can cause a i7 system to crawl to a slow.
Chrome on a Macbook Air 2011, i5. The issue normally involves scrolling down a page through the gifs (wherein it runs fine) but then scrolling back up towards the gifs. This causes a considerable amount of slow down.
If it’s any consolation I’m running Chrome on my Windows 7 desktop (also with an i5, and 8GB of RAM) and it does exactly the same thing. I’ve never noticed it before but thought I’d give it a go when you described the issue.
What GPU do you use on your desktop? I haven’t noticed any issues as of yet on a Q6600, 6GB of RAM and 2GB Radeon 6750 machine.
It certainly does.
I wonder if it’s just bad optimization. Have you tried other browsers? Firefox, opera, etc.
Of course. I used Safari briefly following the recent update (and it is even worse) but I have dabbled with Firefox, Opera and releases based on Chromium such as SRWare Iron, in particular the latter two.
I am sure I can’t be the only one experiencing such issues with GIFs given how popular ultrabook configurations are becoming.
Gizmodo, another journalistic triumph, have you ensured your floor can take the weight of another Pulitzer Prize ?
This is a technology blog site, not the New York Times. Leave it out.
If you think we’re aiming for journalist triumphs and Pulitzer prizes, then you’re sorely mistaken, my friend.
Just taking the piss.
: )
Very good, but you still cannot beat the one with a pair of boobs wobbling.
Sauce plz.
LOL, what were GIFs were invent for? Bouncing boobs!
Sorry, the thought of large wobbling bouncing boobs made it impossible for me to write a coherent sentence! :p
In that case this is really going to ruin your linguistic ability…

Well GIF was the OED word of 2012… so it seems fitting…
When will Giz switch from GIF to APNG?
Only Mozilla seems to support APNGs.
