Now I want an iMac touch…
It’s going to happen….hopefully next year. One thing’s for sure, when Apple unveils it, they’re are going to be a lot of pissed off ‘new’ iMac owners.
Unless of course they add another tier to the iMac line and call it the ‘New iMac touch with Retina’ or something.

Using a desktop with touch is stupid and unergonomic. Apple have said so.
Not if you have a fantastical hinge mechanism, which I believe they have a patent for.
i can’t seem to find the article. but i remember when some of the developer builds of OSX lion were being released. developers noticed that the newly redesigned buttons in finder and other stock apps had sliding movement and animations. Sites like MacRumours had quotes from numerous developers suggesting their opinions was that OSX had already had the first signs of it’s touch future prospects.
I totally agree Apple has said that touch desktops don’t work. But by going on their willingness to increase the Iphone size and to offer a smaller and less powerful Ipad offering. These two decisions alone, show their less-willingness to exercise their famous “reality distorsion field”. nowadays. IMO
Soon to be announced Apple sues, grand piano makers for stealing their musical design.
Actualy I`m thinking they will sue all keyboard makers for using black and white keys.

That was a really well thought out little ‘advert’ there. I they do bring out a touch based iMac they may as well just use this and save themselves a shed load of money!
