Cool, you work for Virgin, So two simple questions:
1) Is the iOS app that is described in this article, the one we are all disappointed with, i.e. the one where you need a Tivo box, as this one seems quite old - is there in fact an update on the way, or new app imminent?
2) Is there any reason Airplay is not functional? This is stock standard on Apple devices, and pretty much anyone with an ATV wants Airplay?

It's the same, 2 devices.
From the Virgin Anywhere website:
"Device Changes - Each time you add a new or swap a device, you will use one of your permitted 'device changes'.
-You can register up to 2 devices.
-When 2 devices have been registered you will be able to make one change to your registered devices each calendar month. This will let you remove a device to add a new one.
-We recommend that you make sure you register devices that you will regularly use to watch Virgin TV Anywhere as you may not be able to swap them until the following calendar month."

Incidentally a PC or a Mac (using a browser to view) counts as a device too, so that's kinda annoying.

You can actually have 2 devices (same as sky). Sky Sports & Movies will not work as sky negotiations are ongoing (sky yet again being greedy). This hopefully will be resolved by January.
The app is only available on IOS devices whilst the negotiations for the iphone are ongoing. Android update expected Feb.

I just saw this in the Apps store for the iPad as well, but it does perplex me that this needs a Tivo box, whilst there is no claim on this for use from a web browser. Is this the same app as discussed in this article? Also, can you Airplay?

Brief excitement ruined by the fact it's not open to all VM customers, turns out you need a VM Tivo box for the app to work.

Wow, this is great, except you can only have one primary device, it doesn't work properly on chrome, doesn't have an Android app and the iOS app is iPhone only and only works if you have a Tivo box. Well done Virgin.
