What Was Your Favourite Dumbphone?
What's Your Favourite Pancake Filling?
What Is Your Favourite Tony Scott Film?
My iPhone, no contest, weather I’m cycling, getting the train or flying, it’s always with me.
My smartphone. Ultimate convergence.
Whether the Weather be cloudy or sunny.
Even when you need directions?
Always been a big fan of a wireless set of speakers. . . Great for the hotel room or the beach. Currently the Bose sound link is doing the trick, even find myself plugging it into the hotel TVs to improve the sound quality. Great bit of kit
Totally agree, but for me the Bose is too big for regular travel. It only comes along when we have a car. Flying handluggage only, I always have my Jambox with me. It’s nothing like as loud or as convincing as the Bose, but much, much better than laptop / phone speakers or the cheap plug-in speakers I had previously, and small and light enough that it can always come along.
As a bonus the quoted battery life is nonsense. 10 hours my arse, it’s more like 20, and you can recharge it from a laptop so no need to carry a charger.
My Nintendo 3DS. xD I love that thing. Has a pedometer on it, I can use it for drawing (Art Academy, ftw), puzzles (Professor Layton, and Brain Training ftw), music (although admittedly, I don’t use it for this as often), has an internet browser (although it’s a little lacking, but it works for my purposes xD). The camera’s a bit rubbish, so if I think I’ll need a camera, I carry my DSLR, but otherwise… my Nintendo 3DS is probably the best gadget I ever bought. xD
+1
I love my 3DS, which I got at launch and comes with me everywhere! Just finished Paper Mario which was fantastic, and I’m partial to some of the virtual console games every now and again, when I’m not street passing for panel pieces!
I love the street pass puzzle panel thing. xD That’s the other reason I keep it turned on everywhere I go. The “Find Mii” (Streetpass Quest) gets irritating at times, though. I’m stuck in the second to last chamber until such time as I can get a warrior in white who can cast a light spell.
The virtual console games are nifty too — I sometimes dip into them for passing time now and then. But I’m really more of a puzzles kind of person. (Picross e is kinda fun. :3)
Yeah, I have all the panels except for the very last airy puzzle panel which was released a couple weeks ago. Can’t find anyone with pink pieces! I have completed both Streetpass quests several times over, but still don’t have all the hats.
I’m looking forward to when Nintendo introduce another addition to streetpass quest, and also Denpamen looks pretty cool. Wish Luigi’s mansion wasn’t delayed though, played a demo earlier on in the year and it’s going to be brilliant. Roll on 2013.
Kirby not airy! Damn autocorrect…
I’ve never got into picross, but might need to give it a go. Also hear good things about pushmo as well if you’re into puzzles!
Consider Paper Mario Stciker Star as well, it plays more puzzly then the usual RPGS of the older games.
I’ve played with Pushmo, but the tutorial mode gets frustrating after a while. xD
I’ve usually got Professor Layton on hand, though — downloaded the latest on release day, finished it within about a week — and I’ve currently got the first game, “Curious Village”, in the card slot.
I’m tempted by Virtue’s Last Reward, but I found 9-9-9 (the previous game) to be a bit gory! xD It really did spook me at the time.
Have you ever played the Ace Attorney series?
That’s cool! Professor layton is fun, but haven’t got the newest game yet!
Massive fan of the Ace Attorney series! Have played them all on the DS a while ago, but just recently replayed the first part over. They are releasing the trilogy in hd on iPhone and Android which I’ll be picking up straight away. Looking very forward to the 5th game in the series, but we have a long wait! The professor Layton crossover will probably be out early next year.
A pencil and paper.
Aside from the obvious iPad and iPhone…. right now my most useful travel gadget is my Mophie Powerstation Duo, a portable battery which charges my iPad mini and iPhone simultaneously!
Oh, and also I’m considering getting a Jawbone Jambox speaker for travelling. Anyone got one?
Yes, it’s great, see my comments further up the thread.
My Kindle.
Closely followed by the smartphone, tablet and mini bluetooth sound system.
My ban card. Low tech to a certain degree but allows me to travel.
ban=bank
After being t-boned by cars on 3 separate occasions I’d definitely say my 1800 lumen high powered LED bike light is my favourite travel ‘gadget’-the beam is visible for a good few hundred yards! Now there’s no excuses for drivers not to see me.
My Samsung Galaxy S2. I have over 1800 songs on board, radio, internet radio, over 70 e-books, camera, you get the picture…
Smartphone with decent battery life! Oh and a universal adapter. Stupid hostels with non-standard plugs
My Bose Quiet Comfort 15′s.
Literally worth their weight in gold.
I disagree, they are better than that. If she’s not coming I can steal my gf’s, but even my QC3′s are brilliant.
Earplugs. I have a set of ACS custom-moulded plugs as I’m in a function band, standing next to a noisy drummer for 3 hours every weekend.
They’re AMAZING on planes. Wouldn’t travel without them
