The rise of the machines took another sauntering step this weekend when a robot won a Chinese dance competition imitating the South Korean pop sensation, PSY.
The competition was judged on choreography, coordination and costume design (yes, they’re wearing clothes now) — and ran alongside competitions for ‘serving’ and, err, ’boxing’. So while everyone was distracted by the funny robot dance, another sneaky machine was learning to uppercut and dragon-punch. God help us all. [ITN]
