Fancy yourself one of those weird and wonderful, Android-powered cameras? Good news, the Samsung Galaxy Camera, which we first saw at IFA this year, will be finally be available in the UK in Samsung stores from 5pm Wednesday, and everywhere else from Thursday for £400. Better late than never. A pre-Christmas Jelly Bean, 3G camera-shaped present to yourself, perhaps?

Google Nexus Camera.
To be fair, you can buy a Nexus 4 for less than that.
Sweet; would love to try one of these out – I’d expect good things from it with the Vignette app.
I so wish it was a phone as well.
There are Samsung stores?
Yep.

That’s even more pitiful than a 4G coverage map.
There’s one in Newport but nobody has bothered to open one in Bristol or Cardiff, not to mention anywhere up north. Doesn’t look like there’s much confidence for high street electronic retail. Surely Apple can’t be the only ones who can make it work, besides phone retailers.
The industrial design of some of Samsung’s recent cameras, inc this one and the NX1000 is very utopian – almost like how we imagined future devices to be, back in the 70s. Very nice, clean lines, great ergonomics and pleasing to the eye. The opposite of the techie reto 80s look of say the iPhone 4/4S.
