Think I’ll try to patent the concept of ‘talking in convoluted terms and being good at tying knots’ whenevr asked a question. Then, if it gets approved, I can require all lawyers to pay me a (very substatntial) licence fee. Wonder whether they’ll like that….?
Oh, and the fees I win will go to pay prize money to anyone entrpreneurial or fresh thinking who can come up with a way to stop lawyers sucking the lifeblood out of innovation.
there is a simple solution to it. reduce the patent protection time to 5 years. in the fast paced tech world that is more than enough to recoup any profit from development costs and can give you a competitive edge it is short enough to prevent it from being used as a weapon to subdue competitors
