Rockstar Games is pretending it didn’t launch GTA Vice City on Android yesterday, despite the fact plenty of people saw it, failed to download it, and left the game stacks of scathing one-star reviews as a result of it not installing correctly.
The Android game’s been pulled from Google’s Play Store, with Rockstar saying it should reappear “by end of next week” and claiming that the problem arose from a “technical issue that came about today upon live deployment” of the game on Google’s servers. [Rockstar]

I wonder how efficient the controls will be, I had GTA3 and the controls were terrible
Just look at the screenshot, I count 9 buttons and I’m assuming you have to tilt to steer too.
I’m just guessing, but I bet it controls like arse.
Going by the screenshot they’re pretty much the same (as GTA3 on iOS). I was alright with the controls – completed the whole thing.
Not great at speed when trying to take corners with the handbrake, but then there’s some circumstances where you really shouldn’t be using your phone whilst driving.

True, coincidently i’ve just placed an order for an OTG cable to do just that for my Nexus 7 which i’ll be getting for xmas.
But for the commute to work with my S2 I don’t want to connect a controller to it lol
you don’t need to root it, i bought an app called Nexus Media Importer for £1.87, can connect anything via OTG without rooting
I went for the Wired Xbox 360 Controller as i prefer the control personally
Or just play it on the Xbox itself since you have the controller … OR connect it to your PC and play Vice City there …
i don’t have an Xbox, i play PC with the Xbox Controller
also Vice City is £5.99 on Steam, it’s £3 on the Play Store, plus it’s mobile
I have it on PS2 as well, so there is no point buying it again
And buy a massive backpack to cart it all in when on the move. Bravo, the man over there (or women, not wanting to be sexist)
I have that app, just tried to connect a PS3 controller but doesn’t do anything
I completed gta3 on android and i LOVED IT. Controls made a few of the missions trickier, but on the whole the port was masterfully done. How do you imagine it could’ve been done better?

you’re right, i’m just being fussy the port was done okay but i guess they couldn’t improve it more. hopefully Vice city has those improvements
No problems on my iPad
Controls are easy on a tablet but I found it pretty much impossible on my phone.
I haven’t tried it on my iPhone yet, love it on the iPad! I noticed it has a cloud save spot so you can pick your game up on another device! Genius!
I hope they fix it for the android guys, quality game!
Hadnt noticed the cloud save, thats awesome! Wish more apps would use icloud for that!
