We’ll never know whether this Siamese cat was attempting to set free fall records for its species or engaging in a dramatic feline suicide attempt when it jumped from the top of this Colombian communications tower. But we do know that firefighters were on hand to catch it in a net before it hit the ground. Well done, brave kitty. You’re a credit to your species in a way that Maru can only dream of.

How You Photograph a Man Free-Falling From the Edge Of Space
The terminal velocity of a cat is below the fall seed at which they can die, so they can fall from what ever hight they want and live.
They might live, but injury would be almost certain. If they could survive any drop unscathed, wouldn’t they be leaping around like that all the time, and be unafraid to jump? Nah, survival is one thing, prudence is another!
http://skeptics.stackexchange.com/questions/3430/can-cats-survive-a-fall-from-any-height
As long as a cat jumps from higher than 9 stories (I think that was the number, will confirm later after some testing) they get themselves into a free fall position which slows them down enough so that they can survive the fall, lower than that height and they can’t get into the position and hit the ground too fast.
My friends cat actually fell from 4 stories up and survived with just a lost tooth. I think it’s actually something like between 6 and 8 stories that’s a deadly fall where they neither have the time to slow down but also reach a high enough speed.
