Rockstar Games has wound back the clock a few years and reinvigorated GTA Vice City for a new generation (or the same crowd just now a bit older), with the legendary crime game now available on Android and iOS.
The release seems to be suffering from a few early teething problems on Android, though, with the Vice City Google Play listing currently full of angry users one-starring it like mad due to random “XAPK Validation Failed” error messages stopping it downloading the additional game data and running.
There’s also a weird pricing disparity, with the game costing £2.99 on iTunes and £3.74 on Google Play. Still, both amazing prices for one of the most popular video games there’s ever been. [Android / iTunes]

1.5 rating out of 10 and play store. and its not compatible with my s3
3mb shy of 1GB!!! The 16GB iPhone owners are not gonna be happy! Maybe a re-run of your article on why people shouldn’t get the smallest storage version available is needed.
I should clarify, that this was my second thought about this news, my first was “ZOMG, Vice City on my phone!?! hashtag-amazeballs” and other such appreciative statements! Vice City was just immense in its day.
Which means you will need over 2GB of free space to download and then install. Although I completely understand the large space it takes up I wish I had got the 32GB iPhone. I’m constantly having to delete apps, videos etc. I’m sure it is a fantastic game though!
It’s worth giving up the space just for Wave 103 and Wildstyle pirate radio.
The ability to make a custom playlist with your own tracks called ‘Vicecity’ that it looks for and plays is a nice touch. If it mixed those tracks in with adverts and presenters that would be sweet.

I’ve had this game for quite a while now and I must say I’m really enjoying it. The only problem I would say is the huge file size which takes up 1GB of memory! If anyone is thinking of buying it and loved playing it back in the PS2 days I’d highly recommend you downloading it.
