We live in a cyberland future where malls exist inside your computer and the presents you buy are magically delivered to you by, well, delivery men. With each Christmas that passes, online shopping becomes more and more the norm until eventually brick and mortar stores will be nothing but vacant museums of an age gone by.
How much did you contribute to that future this year? Did you do most of your shopping online? All of it? None of it? Is that even possible any more?

90% of shopping was done online this year and all but one item were delivered fine and correctly, so I am pleased, I am even having my food shopping delivered tonight too
I’d say about 80% of my shopping was done online and delivered with no issues. The last few were last minute things for a bunch of 1 year olds.
Do 1 year olds even understand Christmas?
100%, because it’s all so much cheaper.
Apart from the Mrs’ perfume, everything.
I did only about 50% of my shopping online this year, which is strange for me, but believe it or not it’s because I didn’t have time! Got my first time of work the end of last week, and yesterday I did the other 50%.
I’m lucky that I live in the centre of town. 1 hour and 8 shops later I was finished. It really was impressive next level ‘man shopping’.
1 mishap and that is the amplifier I wanted to buy my dad – the two stores in town that could have it are out of stock, and sadly it’s one of those products on Amazon that mysteriously “could take 1-2 days extra for delivery” despite having Prime. So I missed the delivery for Christmas.
Not enough.
Last year I did all of it online, this year I did most of it on the high street. I don’t really shop much at giftmas since I only have a small amount of people to get presents for. Only my mother’s Kindle Fire HD and my sisters presents were bought online. I just hope my sister likes her coat hooks, duct tape and 100 cable ties… that’ll teach her to be a bit more specific than “Just get me something from Amazon”.
Last year I did all of it online. This year none of it. Went to an outlet mall for quite a lot, and the stuff there was considerably cheaper than online. The remainder was speciality items that I would probably never buy online. My wife on the other hand did some of hers online.
everything apart from chocolate and whiskey, it’s just so much easier
