The world will not end on December 21st, 2012. The government is sure of it and so is NASA. In fact, NASA is so confident that the world will not on that day, that it has already published the December 22nd, 2012 ScienceCast video explaining why the world didn’t end the day before. Heady.

Or maybe the world is ending, and they put this up to stop the panic. Otherwise – WHY PUT IT UP NOW!? Makes no sense. Oh shit, well that’s just great, another bloody Christmas ruined.
Exactly. If the world did end, watching a YouTube video giving incorrect information wouldn’t be at the top of my to-do list.

On a side note, do the fundamental Christians believe the Rapture is going to occur on the 22nd or is this alleged Mayan doomsday too pagan for them?
It’s a shame this explanation won’t spread as fast as the myth the world would end!
