The Onion has some intel on Apple’s solution to the Apple Maps debacle. Instead of just fixing the app, Tim Cook & Co. are just going to alter the earth’s geography.
Move entire countries. Rename streets. Change everything. Why not? Morning commuters on the Brooklyn Bridge would much rather fall into the East River anyway. Swimming is good for you. Some of us have been doing this gag since Apple Maps came out, which makes it rather stale now. The onion are usually more topical than this.

Yeah, I got that too, admittedly quite fascinating but something must be going wrong.
Its an advert, just not flagged as one. An option to skip should come up after a few seconds btu when the ad is done its a 1.30 long “news” video.
But I had an advert before the horse video?
Hmm, maybe there was more than one ad. Or yeah, the video link is messed up.
I just clicked it again and got no ad at all…. Maybe its like 4od, they show you different amount of ads depending on how much you stream video from their sites or something. On 4od it got to a point where I would have 5 ads before a video would start.
No, it’s fixed now, it was fixed within minutes of the article coming up.

Doh, late to the party as always
To be fair to Apple – when Maps launched, they had NO satellite images of where I lived (just a black grid over most of Gloucestershire, UK). In the last month or so, however, they now show me images that are more recent than either Google maps or Bing Maps.
Google haven’t even driven past your house in a streetview car! I wonder if Apple will? (Scary, what you can find out on the internet…!)
