The holiday season is coming and we’ll all have lots of time on our hands. Rather than spending it fraternising with ‘friends’ and ‘loved ones’, perhaps your time would be better spent hunched over an electronic device, playing games until your eyes ache.
If that’s what you fancy doing, you should be aware that there’s a massive sale of games from EA and Gameloft for iOS gadgets and gizmos. Arguably the best deals is FIFA 13, currently available for only 69p — that titchy, tiny price will also get you Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Need For Speed Most Wanted, various Monopoly games, Mirror’s Edge, Wildblood and loads more. Hey, friends and loved ones — sod off eh?
WD40 — only ONE POUND
Firefly (complete series, Blu-ray) — yours for just £12.49.
Xbox 360 (250GB) — only £149.99.
Unlmited fibre broadband (up to 76mb) — just £19.99 with half price for 6 months.
Journey & The Unfinished Swan ‘Gaming Wonders Bundle’ — just £9.99 (or £8.99 with a PS sub)
Football Manager 2013 (PC) — just £16.85.

Dealzmodo is brought to you with HUKD, a community of deal vikings who hunt down and vote up the UK’s best deals, codes and consumer tips.

anyone else hate touch controls on phones and tablets? your fingers just seem to move away.
it may be 69p but you can buy fifa for £20 on pc/consoles. i would rather spend more for something vaguely worth having. i bought fifa last year for iphone. its terrible
Totally agree. Ignoring the fact that the controls are usually unresponsive and that your thumbs get in the way of the screen on a phone, but you can’t tell whether you’re pressing the button or the bit of screen next to the button. RARGH!!
That said, The Walking Dead episode1 and Flight Control HD are free and cheap respectively atm, and both are brilliant.
walking dead looks decent. i dont own a tablet though. iPhone is too small for games IMO
I’m a console guy so by default yes, I dislike them. Tried on my Archos G9 and it didn’t feel right.
I went back to my ps3 and felt a bit like this:
“Screw you, socialising and tablet gaming, I’ve got friends on COD online to play together on the same team with!”
I’m with you on that.
That’s why I’m waiting out for the OUYA to play Vice City, the recent Batman, and NOVA.
I just stick to the super casual games on my phone that you just press the screen like Jetpack Joyride or Ski Safari.
but the ouya will only be casual gaming. its just android games without touchscreen.
i dont see the point, bar cheaper, inferior titles.
The point of the OUYA is to bring Indie developers to the console market.
I’m not to sure if it will run all previous android games, but I do hope so so that I can replay Vice City.

Offensive combat have said they will be porting over to this platform.
And I believe (hope) that lots more hardcore and indie games will find there way over.
Also think of the countless emulators that will be ported over for this thing.
I loved playing Mario 64 again on my Nexus 7, but it would be awesome on the OUYA
