Heads up, all your Scrooges out there. You might be stuck at home this Christmas, stranded by flooding or stuck with your in-laws, but all hope is not lost — as long as you have an internet connection and a browser, you can celebrate Christmas in true festive style with these FREE console games you can play in your browser FOR FREE. Did I mention that it’s free?
Beta service Core Online has a couple of slightly older console games (courtesy of Eidos) that you can play in your browser, free of charge. Notables include Tomb Raider: Underworld and Hitman: Blood Money, both decidedly stellar games which seemed to run pretty quickly when I skived off work to play them conducted thorough testing.
An added bonus is that the service downloads the game to a local cache, meaning that even those of us crippled with terrible internet in holiday hideaways can still merrily shoot people up all Christmas long.
The only catch? It’s an ad-supported service, meaning you have to sit through one teensy ad every 20 minutes. Is that such a chore? No, not really. Use the opportunity to take a break and check on the turkey, or go reassure the relatives that you still exist. Merry Christmas y’all. [Core Online via UberGizmo]

Or you can just, you know, *cough*torrent*cough* them off pirate bay.
Not that I would ever do it. I own both games already.
Console games…
Can be done. The PS3 is already cracked no? The wii has been cracked since like day one. Not too sure about the 360, but I think that’s been cracked too.
Browser is more convenient, especially if I don’t own a console.
And I doubt the game torrents are available for a decent number of games – an insignificant number of people run PS3 and XBox cracks.
You don’t know too many Asian console gamers do you
