Lego has made one of their best sets of 2012 at human scale. Made using two (2!!!) million 1×1 bricks—and 3,000 man-hours—it’s so big that you can walk inside. It even has a chimney that smokes!
The set is called An Unexpected Gathering. It didn’t make our best Lego sets of 2012 gift guide because of time constrains, but it’s one of the best models released this year, hands down.

“Insane”. Can we confine this superlative to 2012 please.
He obviously read the article about the triple gear and went insane trying to work it out, as we know, people who are insane have no quibbles with bandying the word insane around.
“Made using two (2!!!) million 1×1 bricks”… First, why would they use 1×1 bricks. Second, that wouldn’t even be possible!
