You’ve never seen a skateboarding video with angles like this. As skateboarder Danny Brady goes in for his trick, you’ll see a slow motion, almost bullet-timed view of him. But. It’s not real. As incredibly detailed as it is, it’s all fake. You won’t believe it.
Made by NEON, the video tries to shows a series of impossible yet photo real shots right in the middle of the trick sequence. And they totally succeeded! I was wondering how the heck they got the cameras to capture the up close shots. Here’s a video showing how they did it:
Pretty soon, everything is going to be fake. [Vimeo]

Where’s the link to the making of video?
Oh, here it is. you must have dropped it.
Fail.

Out of all the things that could have made me join this community you pick skating…it worked.
He just left Blueprint Skateboards and so have most of the pros
That is class.
but the fingers and eye look fake, why is that?
As incredible as it is, I can’t think of anyone who would believe a camera can take footage THAT close to a skater.
And the fact that you can’t move a high-speed camera around that fast, nor pull focus like that…
We just finished a job doing a similar thing, albeit in a slightly less exciting subject matter.
the face did not look real, the hand was passable. seeing as when all the camera fly throughs and close ups happened time was almost slowed to standing. could they not have just made a rig to suspend the skater and do actual shots of his face, hands and board?
I didn’t think the trainers looked real either.
