Confession: I have no idea what to get my parents for Christmas. Last year we got my ol’ dad a Kindle, and it was a big hit. I’m not sure how to top it.
There are only two weeks left to make this decision and it’s getting down to the wire. So what are you guys buying your parents for Christmas?

Probably pretty boring but great little stocking fillers:
Travel Atomiser (For Mum, Sister and Nan) – http://www.theperfumeshop.com/pws/ProductDetails.ice?ProductID=9963
Magnet wristband (For Grandad) – http://www.menkind.co.uk/gifts-gadgets-c112/tech-gadgets-c20/multi-tools-c59/magnetic-wristband-p114731
That magnetic wristband looks like it’d be lethal if you took it near a computer!
Luckily he doesn’t own much technology (TV aside). I swear my grandparents house is like living in the dark ages..
Also hope he doesn’t have a pacemaker?
I got my mum a Kindle Paperwhite and my dad a Doro PhoneEasy 615. I mainly got him that because he’s old and he kept complaining everything on a mobile is small. My mum seems impressed. God only knows what my dad’ll think though.
I have no idea – I’m outsourcing to my sister for that one!
Outsourcing — you don’t by any chance work for the government do you?
Usually I get outsourced to
If so then his budget for presents has probably been slashed and various family members laid off his xmas list.
Not that I’ve noticed this year….
You mean, pay freeze and his expenses account taken away?
Fleshlight for dad, strong cider for mum.
If your mum gets wasted on the cider, your dad won’t need the fleshlight
You haven’t seen my mother.
Then get them both strong cider
Wow. Party at your place, clearly.
Fleshlights for everyone!
Oh dear god, please no
You can get a iPad case with flashlight build in, for well you know.
I’m sure I once read somewhere that ladies come with something similar. You have to pay extra for the iPad case though :/
Can we all share the same fleshlight? (Too far?)
Only if it comes (pardon the pun), with j-clothes and a five gallon tin of new miracle jizzaway.
My dad’s getting headphones so he doesn’t disturb mum’s tv programmes while watching youtube/iplayer – so I suppose it qualifies as a gadget for both of them
me too. getting my dad some decent cans. so he can drown out my mum
noise cancelling ones then?
No gadgets, we’re not all made of money
Still don’t know what to get my Mum and Dad for xmas. My Dad has all the toys and guitars he could ever want. My Mum isn’t really a gadget person, but I’ll be damned if I buy her a hamper, perfume or similar this year.
Guess I’ll just hit the shops at the weekend and wander aimlessly as usual until something catches my eye. I’m terrible at buying the right presents, terrible.
My mother will be getting a Kindle Fire HD, and maybe a box of maltesers too since she decided to be born 4 days before Christmas. Grandparents are dead so there’s not much point in buying them anything, and my father doesn’t exist. I do like having a small family, it saves me a fortune at Christmas. Tonight I’ll be heading to Asda to buy something for my sister, along with 3 rolls of duct tape to wrap it in.
I’m buying a Handpresso for my dad.
Good question… been having the same problem so did a bit of research and compiled a list of the Top 10 Tech Gadgets to buy this Christmas
