It’s Christmas. A time for slumping in front of the TV and doing nothing other than watching crappy movies, drinking far too much, and eating the equivalent of week’s worth of food in a single day. But when uncle Frank just gets a bit too much, which game are you going to block him out by playing?
This Christmas I have a game backlog as long as my arm, but I thought I’d kick off with Resistance 3. I loved the first two, and while I still have Call of Duty 3, Black Ops 1 and 2 in my list, I fancied and alien-blasting change (can you tell I’m an FPS-first gamer?). Others on my list this Christmas are Sonic 4 (parts 1 and 2) on my iPhone, and for when I need something a little less frenetic, the awesome QatQi (which is free right now) is my go-to. Oh, and there’s always Galaxy on Fire 2, if I need a space-blasting hit.
PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, whatever — 2012 was a truly great year for gaming, but what’s on your Christmas gaming list right now?

ACIII For me
Great choice! One of the few trilogies that hasn’t got worse over time
Just bought this for myself on Steam… although I playing through the series again to build me up for ACIII, I may have to wait until I’ve finished playing through Revelations again.
The same as last xmas, Battlefield 3 (PC). The new DLC Aftermath, has to have the best looking FPS maps I have ever seen.
Battlefield 3 should have included search and destory mode, makes one think rather thank just running around brainless and “spray and pray” which most people do. I found maps are too big to be exciting in Battlefield 3.
That’s them trying to be like call of duty, but the big maps are what Battlefield does best, especially when played on 140″ projector screen

Monopoly maybe. Or Risk. We’re quite old school, plus the PS3 hasn’t seen the light of day for a few months now and I’m not sure it still works…
As its Christmas I’ll be going slightly more family orientated with Buzz Quiz World, Singstar and Just Dance 4 in the living room.
When I get fed up with that I’ll retire to the bedroom to give BO2 and FarCry 3 their first run outs but will probably end up playing MW3 as like T and Sam say Treyarch suck with their headache inducing fluidity (lack of).
I’m going with ZombiU all the way. It has been some time since a game got me interested like that. One of the best survival horrors I’ve ever played. Loving it.
Lego Lord of the Rings, World of tanks and Minecraft and I will probably get around to finishing AC3 to 100%
