CES is still a few weeks away, but we already know what’s going to dominate news there: phablets. Specifically, 5-inch+ Full HD beasts like the one above. Already teased by ZTE, it’s apparently called the Grand S and packs a 5-inch 1080p display. Not much else is known yet — but if for some reason this floats your boat, it’s confirmed to debut at CES in 2 week’s time. Get stretching your hands. [Engadget via Techradar]

I think they’ve gone too far in the resolution wars if they’re manufacturing 1808p displays for a 5-inch device. Surely you mean 1080p?
Ah. Yes. That too, thanks!
Is there a rule at Gizmodo that any phone with a screen larger than 4″ has to be described in unflattering terms and confusion must be expressed about who would want to buy such a thing?
You know what else is massively annoying? People complaining about the availability of a product that is not necessarily targeted at them. No offence, but if this product is not for you, don’t whine about their existence…and this goes to Giz on the whole. I’m firmly with the Doctor on this one.
So annoying that 5m people have bought a Note II. Clearly they are all mistaken in thinking that it’s what they want.
The note 2 is perfect for my requirements. I’m haven’t got a phone to my ear all day like most losers.
Get bigger pockets then. My note 2 fits perfectly in any pocket. <5 inch phones will soon be a thing of the past.
