It’s fair to say that novelty items make the world go round. Without quirky, smile-provoking products, experts reckon that there’d be 74 per cent more wars everywhere.
With that in mind, let’s sing the praises of the novelty product by highlighting two of the finest examples in the marketplace today. First up comes an 8GB USB drive that is shaped like the bike from Tron. Sure, it’s £7.99, which is a bit steep for a USB drive, but hey, it’s shaped like the bike from Tron. If that’s not enough, why not get yourself a bow and arrow pen set — you can use it to fire three pens at your colleagues and/or enemies. And THAT is just 66p delivered. Who’s laughing now, eh? Yes, EVERYONE is!

How the Bow and Arrow Took Over the World

Tokyo Flash Turns Brit's Tron-Like Design Into a Real Watch
I just bought five of the bow pens. Because come-on.
And may the odds be ever in your favour.
I have never read The Hunger Games trilogy or seen the film so I had to Google the quote to find out its origin. I feel so um…uncultured?
First devastating, and now Hunger Games… oh how I weep.
Next you’ll be telling me you have seen Professor Poopsnagle and his Steam Zeppelin… by gosh!
*haven’t seen*
Dear Lord no! I would use the excuse of being born in 1990 for never seeing Professor Poopsnagle but Birth Dates are always a terrible excuse for an excuse.
Meh, it’s a decent book series and film. Nothing particularly special to boast about. Better than Twilight.
How is the film compared to the source material? I often prefer to read then watch. I read A song of Ice and Fire before watching Game of Thrones, read The Last Wish and Blood of Elves before playing The Witcher etc.
The book is aimed at young people, but then again, so is the film. Film has a disappointing lack of gore compared to the book. I’d say it’s not worth either, and you should go and watch Battle Royale instead; but if you must, you’d probably get more enjoyment out of the book.
If there are any tron lovers attracted here by the light bikes; get on Armagetron Advanced – it’s a free online multiplayer game based on the light cycle sequences of the original tron. It’s really great.
