BlackBerry’s QWERTY handset for BlackBerry 10 is here. BlackBerry 10 does away with a lot of baggage that has been holding BlackBerry back, but the QWERTY keyboard is here to stay, and this slim, lightweight Q10 phone is its future.
The Q10 sports a 1.5GHz processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage, which is expandable with a microSD slot. It’s got a 330ppi, 720 x 720 display.
In a lot of ways, the handset is the familiar QWERTY BlackBerry we’re used to, but the company is really hoping that the industrial design is going to distinguish this BlackBerry from those that came before. The handset features a stainless steel build, “edge-to-edge glass”, and what it’s calling a three-dimensional weave on the back.
The Q10 might be available tomorrow in the UK, on all major networks, although there seems to be some confusion over whether both the Q10 and the Z10 will launch simultaneously or staggered by a month or so. [BlackBerry]
