BlackBerry unveiled Alicia Keys as its new spokesperson, but turns out she’s been posting from her iPhone. Seems a little dubious, but we’ll see.
Sure it’s launch day, but it’s a little queer considering Alicia came on stage with Thorsten Heins and made a long, drawn out metaphor about being in an exclusive relationship with Blackberry. She said she had been openly using a non-BlackBerry phone (an iPhone according to TweetDeck), but that she’s broken up with said non-BlackBerry device. And her latest tweet announcing the partnership was actually sent from the web. However, the Z10 wasn’t official before today. Obviously they’re paying Mrs. Swizz Beatz to be the spokesperson, but is this a consensual relationship or just business?

Meh, Microsoft use OS X and Linux to write parts of Windows, companies use what gets the job done cheapest and quickest.
So Microsoft are using other OS to work on, maybe they should address this problem!
I doubt they are using OSX and Linux to write parts of Windows. Use OSX and Linux in their business, of course they are. They have OSX apps and have software that integrates with Linux so they would have to.
If I remember correct they don’t like compiling the Windows kernel (NT) on windows. So they use Linux VMs
There is a sensible reason for this but I can’t remember.

All of these moronic celebrities being given the title of ‘Global Creative Director’ etc is absolutely fucking ridiculous.
Why does celebrity sponsorship now warrant an actual job title? Do they think people actually believe it’s a full on sit down role as an actual creative director?? Do the celebrities themselves believe that? It looks like Alicia does. What a fucking disgrace.

This is one example of why Blackberry will fail. I was a huge BB10 fan as I love Qt, Cascades and C++ (and QNX). I was at a Carphone Warehouse at 9am to buy the Z10. Now I realize the company is run by clueless fools who don’t really care about the survival of the company. The passion is gone, the BB team are lacking in passion and are just living pay check to pay check. The company is a dead man walking.
