When your computer freezes, clicking the mouse button furiously is definitely what solves the problem. Amazing, really, that repeating a single, simple, mechanical operation can rectify complex software problems so easily. You most have healing hands. [Mr Lovenstein]

How Many Calories Does a Mouse Click Burn?
Put The History of Time In Context With a Click of Your Mouse
"Freeze! IP Police! Move Your Hand Slowly Away From the Mouse"
i really cant tell if this is sarcasm..
Sounds like you need a sarcasm detector.
You must be American
Don’t you mean “You most be American”?
Sometimes..
Come on now, if this were true there would be no need for the tech support mantra “Have you tried turning it off and on again?”
For me it’s the usual routine of trying Alt-Tab repeatedly, trying Ctrl-Shift-Esc repeatedly then trying Alt-F4 repeatedly. If all that fails, then and only then does the clicking occur.
This routine always works. Always.
I like Pie.
I like burgers.
I like big butts, and i cannot lie
That’s why I always trust people that like big butts
That never happens on a Mac…..(Smirks)
Oh yes it does http://goo.gl/YqPQq
I’ve never had this issue with a Mac either. *smirk with no1*
I often think it would be nice if your computers resources were directed to different tasks depending on how fast you are clicking and, crucially, how hard you are smashing the mouse button.
Much like road crossing signals and lift buttons… They always work the faster and harder you press them!
i prefer beating my escape key to death..
Always go for the “switch it off and back on again” option when all other combinations of key presses, invocations to satan, and sacrifices to wicker fail.
of late, at work, i have been trying the “smash keyboard with both fists until it works or my boss tells me to walk away for 5mins” approach.
It works quite well, i get back after my nice 5mins with a coffee and its running again..
I’ve learnt from watching colleagues that tutting and audibly sighing at your screen whilst clicking the crap out of your mouse achieves… Nothing.
