Good news 4G-lovers — EE’s just flipped the switch on nine more towns across the UK, bringing the total to 27 towns and cities, which is meant to be 45 per cent of the UK population. Awesome.
Amersham, Bolton, Chelmsford, Hemel Hempstead, Southend-on-Sea, Stockport, Sunderland, Sutton Coldfield, and Wolverhampton, it’s your time to shine. Well, if you can stomach the still high, but slightly-more-tempting temporary pricing that is.

Nah. Still too high. Need Three to get on this bandwagon.
Cities are not where we need broadband wireless, because we can simply pop into a coffee shop, which is where most people engage in high bandwidth activities – and the ait time providers know this. What they don’t do is provide coverage were we NEED it – rural areas, roads, trains – at stop off points near roads. That way, one can work when travelling on public transport or as a passenger in a car.
How many people walking through a town centre are watching movies or doing Facetime as they walk? Or downloading content? Precisely! All they are doing is messaging or using maps – neither of which require any more than a good 2.5G or greater signal.
yay i’m ready to waste £46 a month for 20gb…
