iOS 6.1 is out now including LTE support for more carriers, Fandango ticket purchasing through Siri in the U.S., and the ability for iTunes Match subscribers to download individual songs from iCloud. Apple is also adding improved iOS 6.1 APIs for developers, making it easier to integrate the Apple Maps database into other apps, if you want to do that for some reason.

How about putting the app store back to how it was before they cocked it up, giving iPhone 4 users turn by turn to compensate them in some small way for the horrible Apple maps (second thoughts bad idea) and get rid of that stupid screen which occasionally pops up confirming you’ve connected to Apples servers and wifi issues in general.
Yeah that’s why I’m sticking to 5.1.1 .. I saw the appstore update prior to updating my phone, no way !
Unfortunately I was drunk when when agreed to the update, woke up in the morning with one of those god what have I done moments. Still on the bright side I saved my mate Murry from a similar fate, he’s learned to live with the red update circle on the settings icon, which is more than I can say for learning to live with iOS6.
I Hope Jonny Ive does a complete revamp now he’s in charge of user interface design, but given he’s got a lot of work on trying to make up for the disappointing iPhone 5 design, I fear he might have his work cut out for him.

Well I don’t think it matters … If the next phone released is an iPhone 5S and nothing special about it (which I guess is the case), i’m switching to either WP8 or Android. Or maybe BB10 !! who knows.
You never know what with Apples share price tumbling and investors screaming innovation and screen size they might forgo the 5S, I had a number of mates who bought the 5, who knowing I was a bit of a tech head delighted in waving it in my face, expecting me to be jealous, after a month they’ve got nothing but grumbles about it. I never liked the iPhone 4 esque design or the screen size or the anodised coating, scratches or not, so I saved myself £600
Not sure what I’ll do, edging towards a big screen Android handset as much as I hate Google and that hacky OS, or wait and see what Blackberry comes up with. depends if Apple sort out the OS, fix the wifi issues and forgo the 5S if not Im definitely abandoning ship
Same here, abandoning ship soon to BB10 or WP8 .. maybe Android (not a big fan of S3 though). We’ll see what happens
Not keen on WP8 don’t like the tiles or list arrangement of the apps not very navigable compared to the icon grid arrangement. S3 is perhaps a little bit too big, I need something with a bit of width tho, iPhone 5 screen feels too cramped and I don’t buy the whole 1 handed use bollocks, I don’t think Ive ever had to reach over the other side of the screen, but I frequently have to use both hands to pinch to zoom on web pages to read the text because the screens too narrow.
Apple can do as many adverts as they want trying to convince everyone a smaller screen is better but at the end of the day people know what they want.
Did they at least sort out the wifi issues? I can’t get further than 4 to 50 seconds in a youtube movie (or other ‘large’ data-transfer)
Not a chance they dont seem terribly competent or indeed bothered to fix it.
