At first blush there’s a lot to like about BB10, BlackBerry (née RIM)’s last great hope at redemption. But the first thing you might love is the revamped BBM. It’s crazy slick, and your iPhone is jealous.
What can you do with the new BBM? Reliable messaging, for one, which alone gives it a hand up on iOS. Free calls over Wi-Fi is pretty hand, too. But it’s also got some gorgeous video chat, and a screen-sharing feature that lets you share whatever’s on your mobile desktop with someone halfway around the world.
They’re features we’d heard about before, but promises and execution are entirely different things. Let’s just hope our hands-on testing shows off features that function as seamlessly as they seem to.

Counterpoint: How to Lose Friends and Alienate People Using iMessage
What’s unreliable about iMessages? they have always worked for me, I must send and receive over 50 messages per day, no real issues.
Plus you can facetime, and free calls over apps, Nothing I see here makes me want to get rid of my iPhone (even though I am doing since I’ve got the Nexus 4 orderd).
it would be nice to keep trying to send messages rather than just sit there. this has been on all phones i have had before my iphone4
That is the only issue I suppose, but does BBM do that?
But that’s when you have no signal.

well don’t bother saying it’s reliable in the first place then.
Blackberry. lol.
I’m impressed. I am. Truly.
The screen share is very cool (and yet, such a simple concept). Quite often ‘er indoors will need help with the london transports’ failings and being able to bring up tfl / google maps / national rail AND show would be, well, great.
HOOKER PLEASE?!?!?!
Let’s get real a minute, who on earth is gonna use that screen share shit? seriously!!! i don’t know one ONE person who would just give me their iPhone to browse their pics without standing over my shoulder beading sweat in case i stumble across their “special” chat pics. i can;’t imagine then even letting someone remotely pick through my phone!!! HELLS TO THE NO.
You’re missing the point – this isn’t a remote desktop connection, there’s no remote control aspect at all.
