Not that it’s not a gorgeous-looking phone, but oh my god it looks like the iPhone 5′s twin brother. I know Samsung and Apple have serious beef with each other, but hell, that’s almost Chinese knock-off territory. Probably utter crap then, but just imagine if it was real. [SamMobile via Ubergizmo]

Id say less twin brother more of an cousin twice removed, they don’t look that similar.
If you actually put a white iPhone 5 up next to it, it’s like a clone, well, minus the home button, and plus a few extra dark dots.
Have you put a white iPhone5 next to it then?
Yes.
Have you, say, held a white S3 next to this image? Just Google image search and compare. Looks exactly the same apart from bezel size and the button. Exactly.
A clone in the sense that it is a rectangle shape with rounded corners and a screen?
It’s a bit hard to make a smartphone any different shape. Should they have made it a dodecahedron?
Also – isn’t it a bit rubbish for a press image?
It looks to me almost identical to a white Galaxy s2 without the home button too. Okay the screen has less boarder and the camera is on the other side but closer to that than an iPhone by miles.
And a different sized bezel. And smaller gaps between the screen and the top/bottom. And the position of the speaker. And the addition of a corporate logo.
But apart from that, IDENTICAL IN EVERY WAY.
Jesus fucking Christ.
So obviously photoshopped.
well for starters, that flash effect is fake
Were it not a fake, then the question following question arises:
As the trend is moving towards button-less, bevel-less devices, how else can it look?
Yep, I would love to have a full screen phone(like flat tv) but they don’t exist yet, even Razr M has extra edge at the bottom of the screen.
If only Arthur C Clark had taken out a patent on a rectangular solid with dimensions in the ratio 1:4:9…
You do know he peered into the future to rip off Apple’s ideas, right?
;o)
“…but hell, that’s almost Chinese knock-off territory.”
You are right, except it’s a South-Korean knock-off territory!
Narrow Bevels, elongated screen. Sort of a resemblance.

Twins? No not really. Maybe if you are talking about the Arnie/Danny Devito film version of twins.
That said, If the current design progression for phones is to continue down the logical path, then soon all phones should look functionally identicle. When you reduce the bezel to be as thin as possible all you can do to be different is change the shape of the thing, and apple cant patent rectangular phones, no matter how much it wants to.
I’m with you. Sam needs his eyes testing, and after seeing his carpets I’m doubly right.
You leave my carpets out of this!
I’ll bet you a judge sees it my way.
A judge in America or in any other civilised country of the developed world?
With the exception of menu button and colour, it look nearly identical to my SG3.
A profile pic might dispute this tho…
Am I the only one that thinks this photo is of a phone displayed on a screen ?
Uhhh sorry?
What is this **** article about.
What that looks like my friend is a Samsung GS3 with less bezel and no lower button…..
This article serves as a wonderful example of how some non techies seems to think the iPhone is the ONLY smartphone and everything else MUST copy it if it exists, Except, this is a gadget website is it not? So WTF?…
Aside from this do you really think they would leak the GS4 given the well reported lengths they went to NOT to leak the GS3?
FAIL of an report tbh.
Looks like any other Smart Phone to me, big screen and nothing else :\
iPhone 5 come on – if that is the case then Apple has copied Samsung as this picture looks as though someone has used the S3.
If it looked like any iPhone I wou;d have thought 3g/3gs was a closer fit but to me it looks like the SGS3 to me.
