Amazon’s LoveFilm service has caught up with rival Netflix in the TV comedy area, thanks to a deal to add stacks of classic Channel 4 comedies to its on-demand listings.
The new old material now appears in a separate 4oD branded area of the LoveFilm Instant site, letting users download stuff without bothering the ad-packed nightmare that is the 4oD site itself. The likes of Father Ted, Peep Show and high-brow fly-on-the-wall documentary series The Inbetweeners are now available to all Lovefilm subscribers, with more retro favourites promised. I feel that classics the likes of Spaced need to be owned, not streamed.
Can anyone advise me on which of the many, many streaming services is superior for mainly films, occasionally TV series and finally value for money?
I have never been subbed to one and I am curious is all.
Netflix with https://mediahint.com extension so you get access to the -far superior – US library.
Nice! Thank you for the answer. I think you pretty much just closed the question.
Also available on 4oD.com, free forever… or is this for people outside UK as well?
No advertisement, and if you already pay LoveFilm or plan to, it’s a nice addition to the catalogue.
Holy shit! When did they add 4oD to 4oD?!
