The mystery of the “creepy sheep” with evil faces painted on their sides that was allegedly creating some sort of low-level mystery among social network users, has been solved. It was an Alton Towers PR stunt.
The placement of the evil smiley face logo was designed to promote the theme park’s latest addition to its rollercoaster line, which is to be called The Smiler. Hence the evil smiley faces painted on sheep. Obvious when you think about it.
