I’m confused….every version of Gorilla Glass claims to be virtually indestructible so where is the real difference?
It generally seems to be keeping the same “toughness” but with thinner sheets.
It’s all hocus pocus though isn’t it. . . I mean in real world situations, iphones and Samsungs alike smash left right and centre. The proof, is in all the people that have set up to provide [fake] replacements for fronts and backs of these aforementioned phones. fair?
and to clarify, I mean not whether it is fair that people set up to repair your phone if it breaks. . . of course that is fair. I refer simply to whether it is fair to say that it is all rubbish that these variations of chemically strengthened glass are indestructible. Yes, they flex incredible amounts and can be smashed with a hammer and not break however, put a phone in and out of your pocket a couple of times and it is scratched, drop it without a cover on and it is scuppered.
I long for a phone that isn’t scratched by merely being in my pocket without a case…
