Those waiting to see if the Surface Pro is any better than the Surface RT won’t have long to wait. According to ‘sources close to Redmond’, it should show its head on January 29th and be on sale before February. Shame the Touch Cover will still be an extra 100 smackers. [Softpedia via Neowin]

£100 for the touch cover.. LOL and it will be that £100 that pushes it over the competitive price of having an Ultrabook i bet.. Stupid.
i am not sure how i feel yet about hybrid tablet/ultrabooks but this has the foundations to fail, not only on price and the brilliance in sales technique of MS (Ie dont sell it anywhere but on our crappy website) but i am guessing it will also have the same 50% Hard drive used by the OS etc..
The RT was so close, just and only just over priced and the pushed by the touch cover, then the half a hard drive and poor performance.. but it does reasonably compare to an Ipad, it just failed to build that trust that Ipad already has and should have sold cheaper to make it worth it.. otherwise the main thought process will be.. well for that money i might as well get an ipad as its established at everything all ready.. etc..
Just so people know i am a fair supporter of MS and tend to not opt for Apple goods with them costing more than their weight in gold but in this case i think the Ipad vs the RT and the Macbook Air Vs the WinPro.. Apple have it!!
