Here’s an interesting one. Spotify’s had a music store in UK for ages now, first provided by 7Digital and then later its own, but now it’s suddenly stopped letting people buy music from it. Is this permanent, and does anyone really care? Who actually buys stuff with a Spotify Premium account anyhow? Apparently Spotify’s streamlining. [Spotify via Pocket-Lint]

Oops, that’s got to be tough for the Spotify faithful, but there has to be a some explanation for this?
Presumably not enough people were buying downloads for it to be cost effective. I get a lot of use from my Spotify account, but if I want to buy music I still do so on CD.
Almost everyone I know has a Spotify account, yet none of us have ever bought a song from there. Most likely just a case of nobody using that feature, so why keep it in?
