Already got mine from the US just after Christmas. After dealing with Google’s poor Customer Service and mis-leading checkout information i ordered mine via a private seller. Got it 2 weeks later and only paid about a £30 premium!!! Now just to sell my paper weight of an iphone 4.

I had quite an issue with cut sims with my One X. It seems some bigger sim cards are a tiny fraction thinner than micro sims, and I had seriously dodgy reception with the cut one until I went and got myself a proper micro sim because it wasnt pressing against the contacts hard enough. I am not the only person who has had that problem
I can’t say I’ve heard much about that happening on other phones, just something to keep in mind if you ever have trouble. Its also quite nice ordering a micro because you get the adapter thingy that lets you put a micro sim into a big sim phone if you need to, although I guess you could save the bit you cut off

That’s odd. I know the nano SIMs are thinner, but the micro SIM spec states the same thickness as the original SIM spec. I even hacked one up with a Stanley knife so it would fit into a Lumia 710.
I used a cutter on my own SIM before putting it in my Nexus 4, and it’s always worked fine. I suppose it’s possible that there are some dodgy cutters out there that don’t cut to the right size.
It is odd. People put masking or scotch tape on the back of the sim to make it thicker which apparently fixes the problem but I didn’t want to risk the tape coming off inside the phone. Just bought a new sim and it was fine

I would recommend Otterbox cases, they are very good and comes as dual protection. The soft inner cover protects the corners and the hard case covers the rest of the phone…i’d recommend it.

i have a tough case mate on my sensation and that would be perfect for an N4
I won’t use any case, just a screenprotector for first year and then take that off too later on. Hit the ground running
I bought a £2 one from Amazon without expecting much, but after having dropped it numerous times onto tiles from a fair height, it turned out to be a bargain! Not a single dent! (a few scratches on the screen, but that’s only because I didn’t bother with a screen protector)

Same here, it said 2 days while ordering but on confirmation email it says 1-2 weeks.
Yeah before Christmas I argued with a US employee on the phone about the 1-2 day £10 delivery charge, even though the estimated delivery said 2 weeks. I said “I’m paying £10 for a 16 day delivery!”
He argued that the 1-2 day delivery charge was justified as it’ll be delivered within 1-2 days WHEN THEY GET STOCK… which is in 2 weeks. Haha, companies these days. They all hide behind technicalities, terms & conditions and call centre staff.

Is anyone concerned about BB? It’s going to be overpriced and pretty much the same to non-techies as any other newish good smartphone.
And not just non-techies. It isn’t bad, but it doesn’t really stand out on any level. People need a reason to switch, surely they should be giving this.
Where in really falls down is on price, I hear around £500, around double the price of a Nexus 4, ouch!

I often wonder about newsos and their affiliation. I found the whole BB thing a bit awkward and certainly not innovative but Giz US has positioned it in a positive light as a marketing exercise.
